Hannity Destroys Occupy Organizer in Tense Segment

We are not sure if this is an expression of how poorly some people are educated in our country, or if it is just a demonstration of how stupid some in the 18-24 age bracket are. That is for you to decide. Whatever the case, all you have to do is expose these people for what they are. Their own words speak volumes. Enjoy!

Albemarle County Virginia School District Defends #Occupy Song

We came across this article over at WeaselZippers that describes an incident where 3rd-grade students at Woodbrook Elementary School performed a song called “Part of the 99” as part of a “Kid Pan Alley” performance in October.

Here’s the lyrics:

Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be one of the 1 percent
I worked all the time
Never saw my family
Couldn’t make life rhyme
Then the bubble burst
It really, really hurt
I lost my money
Lost my pride
Lost my home
Now I’m part of the 99

Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be sad, now I’m satisfied
’Cause I really have enough
Though I lost my yacht and plane
Didn’t need that extra stuff
Could have been much worse
You don’t need to be first
’Cause I’ve got my friends
Here by my side
Don’t need it all
I’m so happy to be part of the 99

We think that this is a severe misconduct by the “professionals” that work for this school-district. Under no circumstance should an elementary child be encouraged to perform a song that promotes a politically biased position, Occupy or Tea Party. The “professional” that organized this assembly and allowed this behavior to go on should be disciplined.

But, wait! There’s more!

Yep, you heard that right. The school board president, Steve Koleszar stated, “They don’t censor student work.” Student work? No, really, do you expect people of rational mind and thought to believe that nonsense? Mr. Koleszar is being lied to, or he’s trying to cover up something, because no one can be that stupid.

A 3rd grader does not have the cognitive ability to compose a song about this complex of an issue in society without being prompted or pushed by an adult. They definitely don’t know anything about economic “bubbles.” The only bubbles they know are the ones created by their bubble gum. One would think that understanding the arguments behind the 1% and 99% might require a student to understand percents. Percents are not even introduced to students in Virginia until 6th grade. Go check out the Virginia Math Standards of Learning to see for yourself. Not only that, the song is being sung from a first person point of view, so not only are they claiming that kids created this song, but they are saying they are able to understand the world from an adult perspective.

It is our hope that taxpayers within this school district get together and work to remove this guy from the school board. We think there are more questions that should be answered by the school district personnel regarding the creation of this song. They really deserve to know that since “Kid Pan Alley” was a visiting group where were the school district personnel while this song was being written.  This is not a small issue and should not be disregarded as such.

Conservatives spend a lot of time criticizing the condition of our public schools. The criticism is often directed at math and science. That is not where the real problems are. They need to be more concerned about the value system so called “professionals” are promoting in our schools. School districts are have become propaganda centers for the left in this country. The more you sit idly by, the worst it is going to become.

Come participate in our poll on the issue over on our Facebook page.

Sunday Education Weekly Reader for 12.18.11

Thanks again to our friends over at Missouri Education Watchdog.

Welcome to the Sunday Education Weekly Reader for 12.18.11.  This week’s highlights:

  • Readers in Charlotte NC are smarter than the Charlotte Observer editorial board in educational matters
  • Do you agree with Arne Duncan’s job performance?
  • A follow up to our previous posting about ‘Occupy North Pole’ at the George School

Charlotte, NC readers take the editorial board to task and educate the writers on the scam operated on taxpayers and the push to spend even more federal money in Pre-K public education:

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that if a parent works with their child from birth to 4 years old and teaches them their colors and some words, they will be better off starting kindergarten than if they had not.
The stupidity lies with government getting more involved in the lives of those entitled – just let the government handle it and not the parents.
I feel very sad for our country and our kids and grandkids, because the America as we knew it will be dead and gone very soon.
Welcome to Europe.

Here’s your chance to vote in an Arne Duncan poll.  (No fair peeking at the results before you vote!)  As the author of the poll states:

Don’t underestimate the power of my polls. The last one I did was on Michelle Rhee. A year later, DC Mayor Fenty was defeated and Rhee was gone. Okay. It took a year. I’m just sayin’

We reported about the Quaker sponsored George School’s Christmas play based on ‘Occupy North Pole’ and questioned what Christmas tradition the occupiers represented.  Perhaps the school is beginning a new tradition of supporting violent protests.  Check out the events the school had scheduled for December 3:

10:00 a.m. Go with Tom and Becky Hutchins to see Occupy Philly and to the Friends Center to learn about the Quaker/Occupy connection

A reader alerted us to the tuition charged for this Occupy friendly school:

Boarding Students — $45,710
Includes tuition, room and board, and some materials/lab fees.

Day Students — $31,780
Includes tuition, all meals, and some materials/lab fees.

These students certainly know what’s it’s like to be part of the 1%…right?

Educational quote for the week:

Christmas gift suggestions: to your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.

@VeritasVisuals | To Catch a Journalist

We came across this and thought it worth sharing. Project Veritas is James O’Keefe’s 501 (c) (3). His recent investigation involves higher education and journalism. We suspect there’s hours of undercover videos to be made in our higher institutions of indoctrination. Way to go James!

Part 1: Pulitzer Prize winning journalism professor Dale Maharidge says White House Correspondent Sam Stein “boozes” sources up. Sam Stein denies and covers up Pay-for-play scheme with Professor Jeff Keefe at Rutgers University.

Part 2: ProjectVeritas.com investigation. NYT Consultant and NYU Journalism professors of the self-identified media “elite” discuss strategy to legitimize Obama, help Occupy Wall Street, NPR tax loophole, defeating Perry and Bachmann. Jay Rosen says, “We are the one percent.”

Part 3: ProjectVeritas.com investigation. Professor Jay Rosen says on hidden camera Clay Shirky has been a consultant with the NYT after media reports that Clay Shirky was not. Is Jay Rosen lying about Clay Shirky’s relationship with the NYT or is Clay Shirky and the NYT lying?

Chicago’s Teachers Union Members Trained Under Radical Lisa Fithian

Kyle Olson’s Education Action Group put this video together and we thought it worth sharing. It’s from an Occupy Protest in Chicago and is a prime example of why schools in many of our inner cities are failing. They have useful idiots like these in the classrooms. This is why we don’t believe in unions, and this is why more teachers need to stand up.

John Stossel-Teaching Capitalism in Schools

Hat tip to the Missouri Education Watchdog for finding this video. Don’t show this to your average Occupy Wall Street protestor, their head will explode.

Imagine that, capitalism works and raises people out of poverty, they just have to work for it. Man, that’s so cruel.
